Review of Glen Nevis Campsite
If you are visiting the Scotland Highlands, then Glen Nevis Campsite should be on your 'must stay list’.
The site is definitely one of the largest campsites we have stayed on (over 30 acres of very well maintained, stunning land) but it is also one of the most beautiful. There are four fields set aside for caravans, campervans and motorhomes. All have amazing views of the surrounding mountains.
Things we loved:
❤️ Location - not far from Fort William, Glenfinnan Viaduct and the West Coast, making it a great base for adventures.
❤️ Views - stunning views of the surrounding mountains, including Ben Nevis.
❤️ Clean facilities with everything you could need! After several nights of wild camping, the showers were amazing!
Other things to note:
➡️ This site opens in March and closes in November.
➡️ Amazing location for hiking Ben Nevis. The campsite is at the foot of the mountain.
➡️ There are other accommodation options available, including tent pitches, pods and static caravans.
➡️ Really convenient and well-stocked shop on site. A restaurant with bar, is a very short walking distance.
➡️ Good facilities.
During our trip to the West Coast and Highlands, we mostly wild camped, so this campsite was a real treat. You can see a video of our wild camping experience here. For a full itinerary of our trip click here.
