A Weekend at Llyn Gwynant Campsite

Llyn Gwynant is an absolute gem of a campsite and we finally had the pleasure of staying here after several cancelled trips due to Covid19.

It had everything we look for in a campsite:
❤️ Location - based in the heart of Snowdonia National Park.
❤️ Views - set in the most beautiful valley and overlooking Llyn Gwynant lake.
❤️ Surrounded by nature - this site is not over developed. We loved the dark stary night skies long into the evening, huddled round the campfire.
❤️ Clean facilities with everything you could need - microwaves, fridges, plenty of sinks for washing up, washing machines, tumble dryers etc
❤️ Campfire allowed. Firepits available at no additional cost. Wood to be purchased from site at £6 a bag.
❤️ Wildlife - lots of wonderful birds and animals to spot!

Other things to note:
➡️ There are only nine hard standing pitches by the lake with views similar to this. Book in advance to avoid disappointment, especially during peak times. Pitches 1 and 3-7 were the best in my opinion.
➡️ Great location for hiking Mount Snowdon.
➡️ Boats available to hire during the summer months or you can bring your own at no additional cost.
➡️The campsite is open all year! I could imagine it being very popular during the summer months.
